Hey everyone!  Well, I'm back at CNU now for my senior year, whoo.  My summer was ok, it's depressing that I couldn't do all the things I wanted because of working all day every day, but that's life I suppose.  One day soon I'll be a housewife and I can do whatever I want, lol.  Anyway, I took the last week of summer off to relax and get stuff together, plus Chris' birthday was the 15th so I wanted to be off to celebrate that.  I finally got to see him on his actual birthday this year, that was really nice.  I brought him new tennis balls and balloons and we just layed around and watched Dr. Phil, haha.  I also cooked him dinner 2 days later and that went REALLY well.  He was happy.  Pictures will follow soon I hope.  Yesterday my cousin Adam came up here and I helped him get his student ID and parking pass and stuff.  It's weird seeing my cousin before class starts - he stopped by my class today cause we have classes 2 rooms down from each other on T/Th nights.  My classes have been good so far.  I was nervous about this semester because everyone kept saying it was gonna be so much work with an honors capstone class and 2 master's classes, but really, it's not shaping up to be all that bad so far.  Granted, I haven't had one of my master's classes yet, but still, not too bad.  Shakespeare class is gonna be so awesome, Dr. Rowley is the coolest professor ever.  Her energy is like none other, the whole room was in a good mood when we left.  It still trips me out how she just cusses right in front of everyone, and I swear the handouts she gives us all smell like inscense.  We might even be going to Staunton to see a play which will be cool, and she said we can sing songs and play word games on the bus on the way up there, lol!  My honors class is kind of nice too because we have half the semester of no class, just time to do our research and write.  That's the only class I have on Friday's, too, so that means I get a bunch of 3-day weekends all semester.  Yay!  Most of the work I'm gonna have this semester is research and writing, but at least it all has to do with teaching and kids and stuff, so it's actually stuff I'm interested in as opposed to government policies or some S.  I really hate politics, I'm glad our honors class is only partially about that.  Wellll, I have some Hamlet reading to do, and I have a hall meeting tonight.  I'll update later ya'll, bye.  Good luck with classes this week.

I'm so mad everyone, and do you know why?  I decided like a year or 2 years ago that I wanted my wedding to be black, white, and red, and now 3, yes, 3 other girls have stolen my idea for their weddings this year!  My stepmom went to a double wedding last weekend and it was in those colors, and now my stepsisters friend is doing her wedding in October in those colors.  First my cousin wants to steal my baby name, and now this, lol!  Stop jacking my style people!  It's not that big of a deal, it's just funny that everyone takes my brilliant ideas.  I'm not going to tell anyone my new baby names so they can't steal them before I use them.  Anyway, I'll try to update for real soon, just thought I'd leave this nice rant in here when I had a minute.  Bye!

Yeah, so stressed doesn't really come close to how I feel today.  It's nearing the end of the semester and everything is creeping up, and I still have about 7 hours of observations to do.  BOOOOO.  And I'm starting to dislike that lab class, it's so depressing.  Well, it just strengthens my desire to work in a private school instead of a public school.  Especially since my lead teacher told me today that she spends about $200 on supplies for her kids each month because their parents can't afford to buy them paper and pencils.  For all that, the pay cut of working at a private school probably evens out, because if those parents can pay thousands of dollars in tuition then they can certainly afford paper.  Plus, there are just so many laws and regulations now, like don't touch the kids, watch what you say, etc. etc.  *Sigh*  One teacher got sued by a first grader, yes, a first grader who claimed that the teacher smacked him.  Are you kidding me?  Yet there are other teachers out there sleeping with their students and not getting penalized.  I have to get up early and go observe tomorrow, boo.  But on a happy note, I'm 21 now.   I had a good birthday, but I'm kinda glad it's over - birthdays take forever when you have friends, a boyfriend, and 2 seperate families that all want to see you.  I got a lot of money though, so  I sense a trip to Shoe Carnival and the mall on Friday - along with the grocery store which is what I should be saving my money for, haha!  So far I've had 2 pina coladas, a sex on the beach, and a strawberry margarita.  All good.  I think my next drink will be wine of some sort, I really wanna see how I like some of the rose ones.  Well, guess I better get cracking on the studying and stuff.  I'll update later.
